Holiday Memories

There is no way I could post all the pictures we took over the 2010 Christmas season, so I have chosen to showcase a few favorites here. In no way could these few images convey the wondrous times we shared with all our family and friends or the joy I felt experiencing Christmas through our children.

Fall Getaway

Over a long weekend in November we met up with the Soza family for a Fall getaway (and to celebrate Nicolaus' second birthday. We stayed in a cabin at Westmoreland State Park while the Sozas stayed in their camper.

We could not have asked for better weather and were able to enjoy nearby Stratford Hall as well as get in some hiking. We were introduced to Geocaching which was great fun and a pastime we will surely try our hand at again. Tammy even found a shark's tooth at Fossil beach!

No we don't have a case of cabin fever, just good friends having a crazy good time!

My friend in the kitchen

The crockpot is my friend. Right now perhaps even my best friend. How wonderful it is to throw together a few things in the morning and by 5:30-ish, voila! Dinner! And not to mention leftovers. Leftovers are my friends too. Leftovers mean minimal mess in the kitchen and with Two under Two I have plenty of mess to clean up without even going into the kitchen. We've been eating at least two crock pot meals a week since Carleigh was born. I have found several recipes here. In fact, tonight we will enjoy Asian Chicken in a Crock. So if you have a faveorite Crock recipe to share, please do, and you too will be my friend in the kitchen.

**Note: If you make the Asian Chicken, I would either use fresh veggies or add the frozen veggies about 1/2 or 3/4 of the way through.

Just Photos

Our family is getting over a host of ailments including colds, ear infections, and a hurt back, so not much has been happening except for tearing through an abundance of tissues, diapers and wipes. Enjoy the new photos!
